UP CM Yogi Adityanath Offers Condolences on Demise of Acharya Satyendra Das

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his deep condolences on the passing of Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, on Wednesday.

CM Yogi described the loss as “extremely sad” and an “irreparable loss” to the spiritual world. In a heartfelt social media post on X, the Chief Minister wrote, “The demise of Acharya Shri Satyendra Kumar Das Ji Maharaj, the supreme devotee of Lord Ram and the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Shri Ayodhya Dham, is extremely sad and an irreparable loss to the spiritual world. Humble tribute!”

He further prayed, “We pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant a place to the departed soul at his feet and give strength to the grief-stricken disciples and followers to bear this immense loss. Om Shanti!”

Acharya Satyendra Das, who had been in critical condition following a stroke, passed away at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow, where he had been receiving treatment since February 3.

A deeply respected spiritual leader, Acharya Das was born into a family of priests and dedicated his life to the service of Lord Ram. He had received traditional training in Vedic scriptures and rituals from a young age. Having served in various temples in Ayodhya, he became a revered figure in the community, especially after assuming the role of chief priest following the consecration ceremony of the new Ram Temple.

Before his hospitalization, Acharya Satyendra Das had been seen celebrating the first anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ayodhya Temple on January 11, describing the event as “very beautiful.”

The spiritual community and followers of Acharya Satyendra Das are mourning the loss of a great leader who devoted his life to the service of the divine.
